PADEL OUT-OF-COURT PLAY RULES

Padel is special in many ways, but out-of-court play may be our favorite, If you’re foggy on the details then read more below. The FIP rules straight from the guidebook, and made easy for you to read.

Players are authorized to leave the court to play the ball whenever the court fulfills the established conditions.

  • Each side of the court must have 2 access points.

  • The outside of the court must be free of obstacles within a minimum of 2 meters wide and 4 meters long on either side and a minimum of 3 meters high.
  • The three sides of the access must be protected (the lateral and upper sides, as well as the net post) with a cushion against player contact like spongy rubber, rubber, neoprene, etc. with a minimum thickness of 2 cm.
  • Protections must be firmly fixed to the metal structure and the posts, with enough fastening or Velcro to guarantee the efficiency of the anti-shock cushion and reduce as much as possible the interference to the game due to its projection to the inner space.
