Where to watch Padel this January?

“We are thrilled to announce the return of the Hexagon Cup to Madrid, the Padel capital of the world, where Padel is officially now more popular than football.” Announced Simon Freer, Hexagon Cup Chairman.
The Hexagon Cup will be back from January 29th to February 2nd, 2025, at the Madrid Arena.

Simon Freer added: “We are all incredibly proud of the impact of the first Hexagon Cup. These numbers, along with overwhelmingly positive feedback from players, teams and media, surpassed our expectations and prove that there is an appetite for innovative new concepts in Padel.”

Padel’s take on sports entertainment

One of the Hexagon Cup’s most exciting features is its unique blend of sporting prowess and celebrity involvement. Six star-studded teams, each backed by a famous face, compete for glory and a whopping €1 million prize pool. From football legend Robert Lewandowski to Hollywood star Eva Longoria, the tournament brings together an irresistible mix of talent and glamour. Taking the Sports Entertainment industry to a whole new level.

But make no mistake – this is a serious competition. The teams are stacked with world-class players, including rising stars and established champions. The innovative format, featuring male, female, and “next gen” pairings, showcases the depth and diversity of talent in the Padel world.

The Hexagon Cup is made for Padel fans

The Hexagon Cup’s team-based structure has struck a chord with Padel enthusiasts. Six teams, three pairs each, battling it out in a format reminiscent of tennis’ Laver Cup – it’s a recipe for non-stop action and drama.

Martita Ortega expressed her enthusiasm to be participating in this new endeavor with her colleagues, “I am proud to continue making history with Hexagon Cup in this second edition and to see how this team format is being so well received. How to grow a sport like Padel

As Padel continues its global expansion, events like the Hexagon Cup play a crucial role in introducing the sport to new audiences. In the 2024 edition of the Hexagon Cup, a whopping 80 percent attendance was recorded each day.

The Hexagon Cup’s inaugural event, analyzed by YouGov Sport, proved to be one of the most-watched Padel events globally. Over 1500 hours of live TV and digital streaming content were distributed to more than 190 international markets.


Aurora Media Worldwide produced the host feed, which was broadcast by 22 partners, including DAZN as the global live partner, along with major networks such as Warner Brothers Discovery, Eurosport, ITV, ESPN USA, Fox Sports Australia, Canal+, Saudi Sports Channel, Tencent in China, and PCCW in Hong Kong.

The tournament’s digital presence was also significant, with the Hexagon Cup’s YouTube channel garnering over one million views and more than half a million hours of watch time.
Furthermore, social media engagement was robust, featuring daily highlights and over 300 clips shared across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and Facebook via Grabyo and official partners including Alpine, Mahou, Playtomic, and Ticketmaster.

In addition to the broadcast statistics, over 1,337 media impacts (online, print, radio, and TV) appeared about the event, with an impressive 100% positive sentiment, with Spain, Europe and the US being key locations for readership, supported by media partners which included Marca and the Daily Mail in the UK
